OVERHEAR SOLO (2019+)
Near the end of the Prague Quadrennial, to complement the live show, It’s Not A Box Theatre released Overhear Solo, an adaptation of the Overhear format into an immersive audio game for audiences to play on their own time and at special kinds of locations in their own city.
The first Solo is called BODIES: Love / Sex / Survival and is designed for two players who trust each other and are willing to explore stories about intimacy and vulnerability. The interactive stories range from getting stood up at a café, to awkward first dates, to staying safe around strangers.
The second Solo was based on an immersive theatre showcase we did with Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre’s youth and emerging artist program, Circle of Voices, exploring their chosen theme of dreams and nightmares.
